Map of Alioth

Every planet in Dual Universe has its own interactive map accessible by selecting F4[1]. The map screen shows details of the planet, including the number of claimable territories it has, and how many have active territory control units on them. Planetary maps are 3D, interactive displays of the planet's surface that show a grid layout of each territory, any of which can be selected to reveal basic information about that hex.

Markers[]

Tiles are marked based on ownership and point of interest. All ownership markers are set automatically and points of interest set by the system. A player may mark a tile they own as Visitors Welcome, the welcome image is then displayed for all players to view.

Players can set personal waypoints on any hex on a planet via the planetary map. These waypoints can be given names and assigned short notes as reminders of what each waypoint is supposed to mark. Players can use these to keep track of friendly or enemies bases and equipment, good mining spots, or other points of interest.

Aphelia Tiles[]

Aphelia tiles that are coloured purple in the map widget and UI are designated short term parking. The player has 7 days before parking permit expires and your ship becomes unclaimed. Unclaimed ships are usually stripped clean by other players within minutes of the timer expiring.

Destinations and Markers[]

The ribbon at the bottom of the screen displays current destination, the ability to bookmark the current destination, center on current destination or to copy the current destination to the clipboard. Additionally the player can create a bookmark from a ::pos that has been copied to the clipboard.

Mapbar

The most reliable way of setting a destination from a clipboard ::pos is to paste this into local chat. Select Enter and the Local tab ensure the cursor is in the dialog box and Ctl+v to paste the POS, the RMB and Set Destination.

Chatsetdest

Alternatively once a ::pos is in a players local PC clipboard Alt+p will set that position as current destination.

There are some limitations with clipboard if the player is using GeForce Now. See the GeForce Now page
